William Shakespeare: „The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils; (…) Let no such man be trusted.”
The ARS CAMERALIS festival is one of the most significant cultural events in Poland. Every year in November all attention is directed on Katowice, where the unique programme of the month long festival is being unveiled. It is well recognized for its alternative and avangard approach, based yearly on a unique artistic concept bringing together all the performances.
This year the team of Marek Zieliński (the director of the festival) again surprised us with artists and events of the top shelf. The festival has it all – music, theatre and art. The biggest star without doubt will be the exposition Pablo Picasso’s graphic from the collection of the Crommelynck family. But that is not all – get ready for spiritual blues from the Sahara by Tinariwen, inspiring indie rock by Tindersticks and Efterklang, the poetic words of Twin Shadow or the harsh voice of Mark Lanegan.
The complete programme of the festival can be found at: http://www.arscameralisfestiwal.pl/ (unfortunately only in Polish). Tickets can be found at www.ticketpro.pl.
At I love Kato we will keep you updated every week on the most important events from the festival in Katowice.
